2nd September - Fairholmes

7.5 Miles / Grade C


Start: Fairholmes OL 1 Dark Peak SK 172 893

Route: Fairholmes, Pike Low, Green Stitches, Abbey Brook

Notes: There is a fair but interesting ascent and a little rough ground but this is balanced by easy track to get in and out. The scenery at the head of Abbey Brook is just fantastic. Dogs on Lead



9th September - Hartington and Pilsbury

6 miles / Grade B

Route: Hartington/Pilsbury Castle Hills/Harris Farm/Sheen/Hartington

15th - 16th September - Keswick weekend away



23rd Sept - Bleaklow Head

7 Miles / Grade B


Start: Glossop High Street, OL 1 Dark Peak SK 046 948

Route: Old Glossop / Lightside / Dog Rock / Bleaklow Head / Ferny Hole / Doctor Gates Path / Old Glossop

Notes: Some steep ascents to begin. A chance to see the superfortress crash site. Dogs on lead, some access land


Directions to start: Approaching Glossop on the A57 (Snake Pass road) turn right into Old Glossop at Manor Park Road with the Commercial Pub on the corner. After passing the Park on your left, turn right by the Queens Arms (Shepley Street) and after 500 yards pass the factory on your left and park adjacent to the bus turning circle on your right.


30th September - Round Walk

21st Oct - Hartington and its Dales

28th Oct – Chinley Churn

Start: Railway Station car park Chinley OL 1 Dark Peak SK 038 825

Route: Chinley / Cracken Edge / Peep-O Day / Pennine Bridle Way / Shireoaks / Brekhead / Chinley.

Notes: There are plenty of parking places in the village of Chinley on the side roads adjacent to the railway station and next to the community park. Fantastic views of High Peaks. Easy going after initial moderate ascent. Dogs on leads where needed.
